| In today's world single people do not fully understand their importance in the body of Christ. They tend to be too distracted by finding a mate or dating. The goal of our life team is to help young adult singles of this generation to grow spiritually and discover and WALK in their purpose in Christ. A couple of the topics we will discuss and touch on come from "Choosing God's Best" (Dr. Rauniker) and "The Purpose Driven Life" (Warren). It is the heart of Jesus that we become like Him in all areas of our life. This includes finding a mate or even finding our purpose. Our goal is to help weed out distractions and focus solely on #1 - Jesus Christ. "But seek first of all His kingdom and His righteousness and then all these things will be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 One line that has always inspired me: "Concentrate on BEING the right person, rather than finding the right person." (Choosing God's Best - Dr. Rauniker) It is important for single people to realize how important it is to BE single with purpose. He has called us all unto Him to use us for HIS glory. Our talents & giftings are to be given back to Him. The single life is where we should be focusing 100% on living for Christ rather than living for ourselves or other people.
